Who We Are
The UNPCPO, is a non political, non religious, non tribal, non discriminating base on gender, sex, ideology, age, or other differences, etc. The UCNO is founded as an NGO by like minded people who believe in the concept of UNITED FOR FREEDOM, together to promote self awareness and the general educational advancement of the society on the human rights of the challenged or persons with disabilities.
The birth of United Progress Of The Challenged Physically, Mentally, And Disabled People Incorporated, Nigeria - April 2018: UNPCPO, is as a result of tedious relentless effort and struggle by a sector of the Nigerian society that has been tagged as “objects” of charity, a curse and the invisible for decades.
With UNPCPO, we have taken the right step to take our destiny in our hands and confront the reality of being challenged (disabled, handicapped,etc. ) through unity and self awareness. We are determined to be self sustainable, through education, innovation and technology, investigation, employment, and to change the erroneous belief of our people that mentally and physically challenged persons are not descendants of evil spirit or witches, but normal human being with illusion and aspiration to live a better life.

Aims and Objectives
The UNPCPO Association is an organization of, and for all the challenged physically, mentally, and disabled people, and has as its major aims empowerment and promotion of the rights of people with disability and the creation of a society in which people with disability can fully participate.
The UNPCPO Association shall take all measures deemed necessary to achieve its aims, including:
1. To work for uplifting the challenged physically, mentally, and disabled people, and other marginalized groups for their overall development. Advocating on their behalf, particularly where their rights have been infringed upon;
2. To empower and support the less privileged in the society. Developing education programs and support services for people with disability to ensure they have equality of opportunity within the community;
3. To cater for less privileged via health care facility, education, and scholarships. Promoting access to proper and adequate representation of people with disability on all bodies which make decisions that affect their lives;
4. To give care, support and empowerment that will alleviate poverty in the society. Encouraging the development and coordination of self-help groups of people with disability;
5. To undertake rehabilitation programme for the vulnerable. Providing information, advice and practical assistance to any person with disability whose personal circumstances require such services. The services shall not be limited to members of the Association;
6. To promote and foster the well being of people with disability, children, women, seniors, and the protection of their rights. By fostering communication and cooperation between other community organizations and worldwide international organizations with similar aims;
7. To assist internally displaced persons and to provide education to the less privileged. All such things as are lawful and conducive to the attainment of the aims of the Association.
8. To educate and sensitized the minds of the youths, and the general public for tolerance, inclusiveness and the understanding of the world of people with disability for a better society;
9. To do charity to the needy in the society, empower the children, youths, women, and seniors in the society;
10. To preserve a healthy and sustainable environment, and to provide home for the destitute;
11. To facilitate educational and research training opportunities in terms of technology, IT, science, medicine, arts, engineering, vocational training,etc., and provide infrastructure, learning materials, computer, equipment to improve the life of people with disability;
12. To create opportunities for youths and the less privileged to engage in capacity building, economic development activities and exposures at all level;
13. To facilitate the establishment of new skills and to run skills acquisition centers. And job placement programme for people with disability.
14. To cater for the general welfare of members and the society. All such things as are lawful and conducive to the attainment of the aims of the UNPCPO Association.
